Boarding & Grooming

Boarding for Pets at Suncook River VeterinaryBoarding

When traveling for business or taking your family on vacation there is a lot to do and enough stress without having to worry about who is going to take care of your beloved animal companion. This is especially true if your pet has a chronic or acute medical condition that requires a caregiver with some veterinary knowledge and experience.

Rather than impose on a neighbor or rely on a pet sitter with little animal care training, we offer veterinarian supervised boarding for pets with medical needs. For example, if your dog is epileptic or your cat has diabetes, we are able to offer your pet safe and comfortable boarding as well as any necessary medical care.

We are all pet owners and we ensure that our boarding service is as we would like it to be for our own pets. When you bring your pet for boarding, he or she will be personally admitted to the hospital by one of our trained veterinary technician team members.

Your pet's special health needs, such as medicine administration, food preparation, and exercise restrictions, will all be reviewed with you. In many cases, clients will bring their pet's own food as many are on special diets. Toys and personal items are welcome to help make your pet as comfortable as possible.

We have indoor kennels as well as two outdoor yards and dogs are walked four times a day.

Reservations are recommended.

Doggie Daycare

We offer Doggie daycare services!

There's no need to leave your four-legged friend at home if you are away for the day. Whether your companion needs care while you're at work, running errands or traveling, your pet will be in good hands with us.

We're careful to give your dog the right kind of companionship while staying with us. We group our guests by age, temperament, and activity levels.

Suncook River Veterinary Clinic requires all daytime guests to be up to date on the following vaccines: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (kennel cough); to have a negative fecal test within the past six months and to be spayed or neutered if more than six months old.

You can see pictures of some of our Doggie Daycare friends on our People and Pets page!

Grooming

Grooming is more than just a bit of pet pampering; it's an important step in keeping your pet happy and healthy by preventing disease. For example, regular baths and nail trims help remove harmful germs that are picked up as your dog plays outside and provides a great opportunity for the groomer to notice dried or cracked paw pads or skin issues.

From seeing so many happy dogs and cats walk out of our grooming area, we also know that a good bath and brush makes your pet feel great and adds to his or her wellbeing.
