StaffKari - Practice Manager

Kari Burd has been with us at Suncook River Veterinary Clinic since we opened and has been in the veterinary field for more than 13 years. She started working as a kennel technician and she has been assisting Dr. Reeve for the past six years. Kari assists with scheduling appointments, dispensing medications, preparing vaccines, surgical preparation, anesthesia and monitoring and more. The most satisfying part of the job, she said, is caring for our hospitalized pets.

"Dr. Reeve and I have worked together for so long we can finish each other's sentences. We interact together in a manner that makes clients feel welcomed and at ease," Kari said. Kari is also currently enrolled in a veterinary technician certification program at Penn-Foster College.

"I chose to work at Suncook River Veterinary Clinic because I believe that Dr. Reeve's compassion and love for her work is unmatched," Kari said. "The time and care we put into our patients is hard to find at other clinics."

Kari shares her home with six cats, two dogs (Montie and Bigsby), and she spends her time away from the hospital with her son. She enjoys the outdoors and photography.

StaffCasey - Receptionist, Assistant

Casey Levis said she particularly enjoys working with Dr. Reeve because she would like to become a veterinarian herself one day. Casey has been a receptionist and veterinary assistant with us since June of 2012. She is always eager to learn something new as she helps with feeding our boarding pets, cleaning the kennels, doing laundry, scheduling appointments and is happy to perform any task Dr. Reeve may ask of her. Casey is currently enrolled in Saint Anselm College.

"I like working here because we have a small staff and everyone works well together, and because I'm learning so much," Casey said. "Dr. Reeve answers all my questions and takes the time to explain all her steps. I love the fact that everyone takes the time to teach me eveything they can."

Casey has two dogs, Jacoby and Roxie. She has volunteered at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire and is an assistant softball coach at Bedford High School. She enjoys hiking, walking her dogs and reading.

StaffJamie - Assistant

Jamie started out with us at the front desk. She has slowly migrated to working out back as an assistant helping out where needed. She is training to become a veterinary technician and aspires to go back to school to become certified as a veterinary technician.

Jamie is a NH native and has lived here her whole life. She is a very bubbly and happy person you will frequently find her singing away as she works. We’ve asked her to stop on many occasions but it hasn’t helped. She can also be found having conversations with herself, they seem to increase her work productivity so this is another thing we have learned to overlook!

She enjoys hiking in her free time, and spending lots of time with her animals. She has a dog Addyson that you may often see out in the daycare yard enjoying all the play time with her friends. She also has a cat Jerry, who she adopted from SRVC.

StaffJessica - Receptionist

Jessica is our wonderful and smiling receptionist at the front desk. She’ll be there to take your phone calls, schedule your appointments, and get your questions answered. She enjoys helping the clients that come through our door, and building a bonding relationship with dogs and cats alike. She loves to help with the daycare dogs, and can often be seen snuggling with a kitten behind her desk.

Jessica was born and raised in New Hampshire. She moved to Seattle in 2008 to work for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration as a shipboard technician. After traveling around the globe for several years doing oceanography, she returned to New Hampshire to work with us as our lovely receptionist.

“I love working at Suncook River Vet. We are like one big family here.” She said. “It brings me so much joy to be able to help people and their pets the best way that I know how.”

Jessica has a Westie named Scupper (Sk-uh-perr) who comes to daycare every day to play with the other dogs. She enjoys long distance traveling, surfing, boating, and riding her pink scooter around with Scupper on the back.
